This prayer was part of our reading for our spiritual retreat. A beautiful prayer to read daily.
Mother, help our faith!
Open our ears to hear God’s word and to recognize his voice and call.
Awaken in us a desire to follow in his footsteps, to go forth from our own land and to
receive his promise.
Help us to be touched by his love, that we may touch him in faith.
Help us to entrust ourselves fully to him and to believe in his love, especially at times of
trial, beneath the shadow of the cross, when our faith is called to mature.
Sow in our faith the joy of the Risen One.
Remind us that those who believe are never alone.
Teach us to see all things with the eyes of Jesus, that he may be light for our path. And may
this light of faith always increase in us, until the dawn of that undying day which is Christ
himself, your Son, our Lord!

According to School Library Learning 2.0 (http://schoollibrarylearning2.csla.net/2007/02/2-week-1-lifelong-learning-habits.html), these are the Seven and 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners:
1. Begin with the end in mind.
2. Accept responsibility for your own learning.
3. View problems as challenges.
4. Have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner.
5. Create your own learning toolbox.
6. Use technology to your advantage.
7. Teach/mentor others.
7.5. Play and have fun!
I am pretty successful with 2-7.5. It is number one that is the challenge. I don't always begin with the end in mind. I tend to take more of a shot-gun approach. There is so much interesting stuff out there--it is so hard to focus!
